Mayweather Defends Trump Locker Room Talk: ‘He Spoke Like a Real Man’

Floyd Mayweather Jr. might be one of the highest paid athletes in history, but he’s certainly not on the forefront of the ‘Respect women’ movement. With several domestic violence charges to his credit and a chain of strip clubs called “Girl Collection”, it’s safe to say Floyd does not care if he pisses off a few feminists. It should not be a surprise then that Floyd finds himself in the same discussion as the most criticized man to ever take office, Donald Trump.

During Trumps 2016 presidential campaign, an audio recording dating to 2005 surfaced that contained some less than politically correct “Locker room talk” banter from Trump:

“‘Yeah, that’s her, with the gold. I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. I just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p—y. You can do anything.'”

To absolutely no surprise, the media turned into a feeding frenzy and Trump was in hot water. Celebrities from every corner of the world took to their keyboards to disparage Trump, but one celebrity is in his corner. You guessed it, Money Mayweather. During an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Floyd dismissed the comments as ‘Locker room talk’:

“People don’t like the truth… He speak like a real man spoke. Real men speak like, ‘Man, she had a fat ass. You see her ass? I had to squeeze her ass. I had to grab that fat ass.’ Right? So he talking locker room talk. Locker room talk. ‘I’m the man, you know what I’m saying? You know who I am. Yeah, I grabbed her by the p—y. And?'”

In addition to visiting the then president-elect in November, Floyd also attended Trumps inauguration in Washington D.C. Although he dismissed the inauguration attendance as more of a ‘bucket-list’ type of thing:

I just wanted to say I did it one time in my life, It didn’t matter who the president was. I just wanted to go to be a part of it, to see how it is.

It is also worth noting that Trump attended several of Mayweathers fights, including his 2015 bout with Manny Pacquao.
